Apr 9 “Quebec, May 12 – Captain Parry of the Brig “William and Ann”, 20th Mar from Newcastle to Pictou, has come up in the “James F. Rapelye” from Newfoundland on the 9th Apr and almost immediately sunk [sic]. Captain and crew saved themselves on the ice and were fortunately taken off by a fishing schr bound to N. York. All belonging to them, except the clothes they stood in sunk in the brig.” [no locality] (NS 16/06/1830 p191 #3)
